Jason Fisher, Senior Counsel for Advancement Solutions, is a recognized national and international expert in phonathon fundraising and is the coauthor of The Phonathon Manager’s Planning Handbook, the new phonathon book recently released from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Beginning in 1990 as a student caller and continuing today as an award-winning speaker and consultant for Advancement Solutions, Jason has worked hands-on in several different fundraising positions with hundreds of calling programs for higher education institutions and other non-profit organizations.
As the manager for the University of Georgia phonathon in the mid-1990’s, Jason guided the program to three consecutive record-breaking years in results and helped make UGA a model for phonathon success. Returning to his home state of Iowa, Jason served in project management and senior management roles, and as Director of Operations for RuffaloCODY, a direct marketing firm specializing in higher education fundraising. He also worked as a major gift officer for Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL. Jason has consulted on phonathon and annual giving programs since 1997.
Jason earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in business administration and political science from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He also holds a Master of Public Service degree from the Clinton School of Public Service at the University of Arkansas.
